3.8.5 Advanced

For most installations, the default VCA conguration is adequate. In some environments, however, better performance can be

achieved with modied parameters. The Advanced VCA Settings menu is provided for these adjustments. To congure VCA

advanced settings for your camera or encoder, go to SETUP > VCA > Advanced

Alarm Holdo Time

The Alarm Holdo Time denes the time between the successive re-triggering of an alarm generated by the same object. For

instance, if an object in a monitored zone triggered an alarm, then moves out of the zone and back into the zone before the Alarm

Holdo Time ends, a new alarm is not issued. But, if the object leaves the zone where the alarm was triggered, stays out of the zone

longer than the Alarm Holdo time, then re-enters the zone, a new alarm is triggered.
